I still find it odd you can get a race full of first time starters in 2 year olds and no matter what pletcher usually has the moring line favorite even tho there all first time starters and other horses nott rained by pletcher have better workouts. Who makes the ml odds for crying out loud stop with the trainer factor in making ml odds it affects peoples betting cause most people are amature betters

Purr Imagination has a really good pedigree. I'm not sure what Todd thinks of him based on what I see in the form, but, at 8/1 ML I'll give his dam (5 of 7, 2 stakes winners) a chance. Good connections. Pletcher is red hot lately. I'll take a chance. It is the 4th (or 5th? can't remember) race at MTH.

Slow horses will not develop overnight,just because someone likes them or wants them to. Todd Pletcher is having an incredible year . He has the top 2 3 yos' in the nation in Verrazano and Palice Malice. H e has the top 3yo filly. He is loaded in Older horse division and many other categories. The issue at hand is that sooner or later ,Todd will have to sit out some of the dances. As in other years,he is always loaded at the Breeders Cup.Usually come sup empty. That is because he empties the tank.Todd and his owners love to win.their M.O. is not to prep.They go for it every single race. A credit to them,Cross Traffic should be nowhere near the entries for the upcoming Woodward. Lay him up and freshen him for the Jockey Gold Cup.Then run a fresh horse in the Classic. This is not a speed horse,he can sit. he was on the lead in the whitney,because of the immitation speed horses. i said it prior to the race.Todd and Johnny V. had to be chomping at the bit for the race. They were the controlling pace horse in a race that lacked speed.His breeding states he will run all day.You do not run monster speed figures at a mile,like he did in his previous 2 starts and not be able to compete with the very best in the world.That is why,come Breeders cup.C.T. does not need the lead.just need sto be in the neighberhood.

I beleive pletcher is gonna enter a rabbit in the belmont stakes cause I see no speed to contend with oxbow. And if Oxbow goes three quaters in 1:14 or slower he will be very tought to beat in his high crusing altitude

Really no Preakness horse???????? How can that be? He has an all star stable of 3 year olds males and females and no Preakness horse? Dont tell me the injury bug is hitting his stable now

(CK going back to turf-Verrazano proven not to be a contender, and palace malice getting a rest) SO rather than just shove a horse into the race to have his name represented, he is playing to the horses strengths and going to the Blemont. Heres how I see his horses from the derby going ahead. Charming Kitten-back to turf stakes Palace Malice-Not sure Overanalyze- Preakness Revolutionary-belmont.. And I also possibily see red rifle going to the peter pan and then belmont

That said, Pletcher – who won the Derby with Super Saver in 2010 – realizes that a subpar race close to the Derby could be catastrophic. “You certainly don’t want that if you don’t have enough points,” Pletcher said. “A lot of horses have flopped in their final Derby prep and gone on to win the Derby. The key is to have enough points before the flop.” That is so true what hes saying here and I do beleive there will be at least 2 horses who will throw in a clunker in there final prep and wont make the derby even tho there clearly best and deserve to be in it. I never realized that till i read todds quote this moring on drf

zxswordxz · BTW..Back to the Article: I agree with the logic. My uncle always train his horses for the distance he/she expected to run. It contain with several breeze and bullet or two so the horse body and handle the stress on race day. They also get a light warm up in the morning of the race. Race day, his food intake and water intake is minimal but the night before the race he/she gets to eat a healthy meal. He never used any Lasix and experience any bleeding. That is why I find it so hard to understand US horse training. · 4730 days ago

Went to plecthers barn today, saw all the good ones ! Shanghai Bobby was realy friendly as well as Turbo Compresser, kauia Katie, Stay Thirsty, Gemoligist and more. Mike Repole gave me Stay Thirstys old halter that he wore In all his races. All the horses were VERY friendly. Sorry if some. of the horses name are spelt wrong Its auto correction on my phone.
