Grade 1 Beholder Mile winner Cavalieri worked Monday at Del Mar. The Bob Baffert trainee, who had been off the work tab since April, covered four furlongs in 48.8 seconds. The 4-year-old daughter of Nyquist is undefeated in four starts, including wins in both the Beholder Mile in March at Santa Anita and the La Cañada (G3) there in January.
Scylla, the multiple graded-stakes winning daughter of champion Close Hatches, also worked Monday morning. In company with her Grade 3-placed stablemate Scotland, she covered five furlongs on the Saratoga dirt training track in 1:00.35.

In her most recent start, Scylla rallied from last to finish third behind long shot Halina's Forte in the Honorable Miss (G2) at Saratoga on July 20. Though her last win came in the Fleur de Lis (G2) in June 2024, she has been in the superfecta in all six starts since, all in Grade 1 or Grade 2 company.
