Even more changes at Godolphin: Derby winning jockey and Godolphin's retained rider Mickael Barzalona will have to share the mounts with other riders on Godolphin horses after trainer Charlie Appleby decided that the jock would no longer be his automatic first choice. From RacingPost: "William Buick and Martin Lane are both set to profit from the new pecking order at Moulton Paddocks where the pair now ride out for Appleby up to three days a week, a change in practice similar to that carried out by fellow Godolphin trainer Saeed Bin Suroor who now uses Kieren Fallon in tandem with Silvestre De Sousa"

ILuvTurfRacing · The article I read said Barzalona will continue to ride for Godolphin SNC & Darley in France, primarily for trainer Andre Fabre, but he wasn't at all happy about being on the sidelines yesterday when Godolphin had 3 horses in the Epsom Derby field. Mark my words, jockey Silvestre De Sousa isn't far behind Barzalona about breaking his association with Godolphin in the UK. He's also not happy that trainer Saeed Bin Suroor has been calling Kieren Fallon's number more than his lately on some of the horses Bin Suroor trained in big races. Mickael Barzalona

Godolphin jockey Mickael Barzalona has been granted a licence by the Japanese Racing Association to ride in Japan until late December, 2013. Because of this, he will not have the ride on Outstrip in the Breeder's Cup Juv Turf
