tmallios1 · If Romans or any other top U.S. trainer decides to venture off into a new venue.It will be strictly economic.Someone on the other end will offer them a financial package that they cannot refuse. Just like in the Proffessional Sports buisiness in the U,S, . Whenever someone tells you it is not about the money,it is about the Money. Not seeing him, Nick Zito, John Servis, Graham Motion, Steve Assmussen, Bill Mott or Bob Baffert having good horses in the TC races this year was sad.

Though your horse ran up the track in the Indiana Derby, I found it interesting your recent success with the 3-year-old ranks. 2010 - Paddy O'Prado(2nd-BlueGrass; 3rd-Ky Derby); First Dude(3rd-BlueGrass; 2nd-Preakness; 3rd-Belmont; 3rd-Haskell; 3rd-Travers); Shackleford(2nd-Florida Derby; 1st-Preakness; 2nd-Haskell; 2nd-BC Dirt Mile); Dullahan-(1st-BlueGrass; 3rd-Ky Derby; 1st-Pacific Classic). Nice going, as a trainer from the Midwest. With all the debate between the west and the east, it's nice to see somebody from the heartland of America, included in the ranks with other small-time trainers, Larry Jones, Hal Wiggins(retired trainer of Rachel Alexandra); Lynn Whiting(Lil' E Tee), and Wayne Cataluna, all successfully show their class in big races. Trainers just teach them their lessons, the HORSE put out the effor in the framework of their talent and form cycle. Winplacsho · Plus, he trained Court Vision to win the BC Mile, Paddy O' Prado to run 3rd in the Derby to Super Saver & has Dullahan for this year's Derby trail. I wouldn't be surprised if he's never had a horse start in the BC Sprint. · 4983 days ago

Hats off to Dale... He really has made Shackleford into a force in the 3 yo division this season. Many people have questioned him rescently but I dont understand why? He put this horse in all the dances and gave him a chance to be a star. If more trainers would challenge there horses instead of taking the easy way out it would sure be alot nicer for the fans.

icyhotboo · Dalee Romans is an excellent trainer and after winning the Preakness he had to give him a shot at the Belmont. I question why put him in at 1 1/4 mile which I believe at the point in time entries were take he had to hope for something unexpected to even get in the money. · 5134 days ago

bigbrown2332 · Haha, I had this big argument with my friend about how his name is pronounced, he said it should be shackle-ford not shackle-ferd. He doesn't understand that the officials are probably a lot more educated than him. He lost the battle though and gave in. · 5250 days ago
